$5 honesty box
Shop, pub and motel now
Heaps of room - either shade or not.

I reckon most places in Australia would be great to see and would be a plus for anybody that is lucky enough to see them - obviously some would be better than others and we all have a favourite place.

Gday...
I just remembered ... this place shows HEAPS of camping/CP sites that members of the forum think are special.
Good reminder to those who don't read all the sub forums, RL - some really good spots in that one!!! All set out by state!

Trouble is Patto that many of these awards are given to the CP's with the most "Bling", bells and whistles etc, with no regard to how much it costs the average traveller to stay there. May be fine for those with the pockets to match, but not much use or appeal to those of us on a reality budget.

Calypso Caravan Park
We have been to this park a few times. It's in a beautiful and perfect location right on a river and almost on the beach, village shopping centre next door with camping shop, mitre 10, cafés, food, Small Spar supermarket, clothes. Bowling club about 10 minutes walk away.
The amenities at the end we usually stay at are like little beach huts . . . About 8 with wc, shower and vanity and about 4 just wc, much more civilised than the usual amenity blocks.
We have just had two nights there for $30 per night Seniors rate powered site. $35 for non seniors
