The fires that are currently out of control have caused MANY road closures around Victoria, including sections of the Hume and Princes highways, the road between Bendigo and Melbourne, Bell street in Preston (just been re opened), and dozens of others.
If you are planning to travel in Victoria please check firts before you start your trip.
Apart from that listen to the radio - all are Emergency Broadcast Centres these days with updates occurring about every 15 mins

I have lived in the hills for over 40 years, Seen a few Fires in my time,

Bonang and Monaro Highways have current fires, You dont want to be in there, Not sure about the fire near Bruthen,
Monaro Highway is good for caravans and is scenic,
Bonang Hwy is not suitable for Caravans, Its a tite twisty Motorbike road, Its also very scenic, Lots of Tite Skinny Hair Pin Turns,
All three roads have log trucks, Its a logging and timber area,

There is fires somewhere near Echuca. We are sitting in thick smoke here at daughters and we are inside..
Can't work out where it's coming from though.
