And by the way, Victorians don't just hate ALL travellers ... we hate everyone

Keep having to remind SWMBO that we have a van with a toilet. As a truckie, if your on a highway which you know, you know where the rest stops are. Most are conveniently spaced at that 5 hour marks cos that is how long we are allowed to drive without a break.
It is nice towing your own rest stop cos it is either her bum or mine that is using it.

most Truck rest stops on the side of the road have toilets,
Look for the signs, They are clearly posted,
There is usually a Toilet near the Information Shops in most towns, Big Blue Info sign indicates where it is,
Every servo has a Dunny, Macca's and KFC also,
I ride a lot of miles in Vic on a Motor Bike, I never have problems finding a Dunny, Even in the high country,
They are there, You need to look for them,
Nearly every town has a Public Dunny and an info shop,
These days, There is absolutely no need to crap on the side of the road,
I have a tank in my coach, So dont need a Toilet, I have my own Dunny on Board,
But I do park in front of the Public Dunny's when I am at the Info shop, Most towns have them,
Best parking spots in front of the Towns Dunny. Plenty of space for big rigs,

Bob, I think you'll find that SA is even worse than VIC as I highlighted in an earlier post. VIC is positively brimming with toilets at roadsides compared to SA.
We're currently in Ballarat VIC and it's hot.....!

Plenty of toilets between Eden and Melb, 2 before Genoa, 1 at Genoa, at least 2 before Canne river, at least 5 at Canne river, about 5 between Canne river and Orbost, plenty around Orbost after that they are quite frequent.
If we are going somewhere we haven't been, we construct a list of where facilities we need are along the way. Only takes a couple of minutes and you don't need the Internet, if you've planned properly for your day..

I stopped at a large servo at Bendigo for a pit stop. Couldn't find the toilet, so I asked where it was. Answer "no toilets"

Easy way to solve your problems is to come to Australia. This can be found north of NSW and if you are not toilet trained we will make allowances for you by shortening the 'Happy Hours' from 5 hrs to 4 hrs. And we will even let you in without a passport or visa.

There is a great android app called just in time and this app works on your current location and tells you where the nearest toilets are based on your current location and it definitely works.

I'm sorry you feel that way about Vic. I'm originally from NSw but now a Victorian. I travel around quite regularly and I felt we were well catered for in most places. I have to agree after returning from the west recently WA and SA might be a little worse. I hope you enjoy your trip anyway.

Those type do exist, But are few and far between, No Dunny, Fair enough, You dont get my custom or money either, I go to the next Servo with a Dunny,
I travelled extensively with Kids, They need a Dunny, While I fuel up,
Make a complaint about the no toilets, You will find its the lazy attendant that doesnt want to clean the Dunnys, is more the Problem,
Most Servo's are very keen on keeping their Dunnys clean and usable, and have notices to that effect, Inform the management if its not clean,
If your not busting at the seams, you will buy things in their shop, Most Servo's are aware of this, Thats why they have Toilets, Clean ones,

Well what hogwash, S.A and their toilets, if one opens their eyes they will see, we have travelled the High ways through S.A , and always found a loo, the towns are not far apart. plenty of loos in them to relieve yourself, just like other States.
Blinkers Off..........You Might See.
We have been down here for about a week now traveling the Pacific highway and the most noticable thing is the lack of Toilets..
Doesn't Victorians need to use toilets ..????
Everytime we do find a place to stop and if we walk a few meters off the road there are all these patches of white paper with deposits beside them

Like where do the truckies and other locals relieve themselves and rest..??
And as for proper rest areas they are virtually NON existent..
We will make it to SA tomorra thankfully..
where they do care about their travelers..

Not many dunnies in SA either Bob!

Plenty of shi-tty rest-stops though!
Are you trying to burst my balloon Gerty...
I am hoping it will be better..
We do need toots but I think you will find that it is the younger visitors that come from OS that leave the mess, not all of course.
Every state has it's good and bad I spose. I sure hope things improve for you though.
Gday...
Maybe this site will help

100% correct on the highway Doug...
I am an old Aussie Doug, but I still need a Sh-it daily so we cant blame the HIRED Whizzbangers for having one too..
Their needs also need to be catered for..
We did the Great Ocean Road thing and it was full of Hired Whizzbangs surely they spend enough to warrant being catered for..
Thanks John, :)
