A few years ago we went to a wedding out west after that headed south, not having radio or tv for a few days so not realising the rain that had been. Went to Dalby got fuel, nothing said to us, drove on, (went to Cecil ck free camp) the road had patches of water over it, kept driving thinking that would be the worst then drove into next lot of water and had it lapping side of car and hitting side of van, the roads were not closed, made it to our stop thank god. Lesson learnt, always check traffic conditions, the land is very flat out west and water flows quite fast over it.

The problem is that people that have lived in the cities all their life have NFI of what it is like out in the country during harsh conditions..
Floods and Bushfires are only things that happen to other people..
I have lived on flood plains all my life and some of the things I have see travelers do make you wonder if they left their brains back in the city..
