What is the conscientious, travel folded or extended?
On the one short trip we have done so far we initially had it extended thinking that it has the support of the single leg on the floor.
Problem was we found when we stopped for a cuppa that the table had part way folded itself. From then we travelled with it folded.
Should it need a strap around it?

Hello Neil & Lyn
I travel with mine folded and with a strap as I lost it all over a big bump
I also screwed a door stopper on the floor under where the leg stays when folded and rest it on that
Table does not move when lean't on in the folded up position

Our table is a tri-fold and never had any problem with it. We travel with it folded, and it has never moved. We do however place a mini pillow behind the leg to stop it rubbing on the wood-grain of the little cupboard underneath.

That's a good idea Ken, I will do something like that too.
I don't think the leg touches the little cupboard Pejay, I will check though when I get the van back, hopefully tomorrow.

Another good trick is to place a small buffer pad on the top near the wall in such a position that when folded, the table sits on this rather than the two laminated surfaces rubbing together and becoming damaged. If you prefer, you could just Insert a bit of something soft to keep the two surfaces apart.

we travel with ours folded and I stuck a couple of those clear rubber bump pads on to the tabletop near the wall so when folded it will not rock.
we also place a rubber load strap from the shelf around the leg and back to the shelf to keep it all nice and tight while we are travelling
it works well

A little different... We have a L shape dinette with a rather large table. So we took the table top to a cabinet maker and had them cut and piano hinge about 1/3rd of the long side. This has freed up a heap of extra space as the stove, sink and preparation area of the kitchen is adjacent/ opposite the table.
We then extend the table when needed.
Just a small space saver.

My last van had the L shaped unit and I made a slide for the bracket under the table top which allowed the top to be pushed further over the seats for more kitchen space when required.
Our new van has (first for us) a Tri-fold table.
