Well folks have settled at Burnie for a few days with nice warm and sunny weather, not the Tassie weather I am used to . Anyway took a drive to Stanley and conquered, the nut, Via the chair lift we then stopped for fish and chips for lunch which, was very nice. After lunch took a drive to Smithton and then back through Wynyard. Tomorrow will have a look around penguin and Burnies Whisky distillery.
On Thursday, will head towards Strahan with a free camp on the Hellyer river on the way.
Anyway folks stay safe out there and will catch you out there somewhere.

Don't foget to hit the cheese factory in Burnie - although you may drop a few $$ post-taste test!

Mmmm, not only there Rosie, the Distillery wants many $$$$$$$$$$$ just for one bottle of the good stuff too.
I'm just about to turn into tourist mode as I'm sure C1&2 already are.

Yeah, I prefer to buy the good stuff from a local place; still more exxy than Mum's preferred tipple (Famous Grouse), but a very nice drop nonetheless, and a smidge cheaper than the Distillery.
That being said, my favourite distillery is still the Lark in Hobart - got mildly wobbly after a tasting session there one day - apparently testing liquers on an empty stomach gives you wonky knees

Pity about the timing as you will be going past home Thursday, and I have a distillery closeby as well(ask Billie & Jules) but I have to take Rhonda to Launceston for med appointment. Will be late back otherwise would come up to the Hellyer gorge campsite when I got back, but will be able to say hi at Peacefest. PM me when you get back to the Burnie/Wynyard area.
Bob your picture fell over, or did you do that on purpose ?
Maybe he was doing a wee bit of sampling?

Highly recommend Anvers near Latrobe - their coffee, food AND chocolate are all good........ had a banana cake thing there, think it was a pie actually, and it was made with real bananas, not banana flavouring..........
