Actually nallingtoon it could happen to anybody. Even if your van is parked well off the road. A few years ago I went out to our camper-trailer parked in our driveway, and was very nearly hit while I stood in the door of the camper by a hoon who screamed around the corner nearby. He hit a street tree about 4 feet away instead, and managed to back his dented car off and escape, although we reported the incident and number-plate to the police. Young kids, P plates, showing off or drunk.
Glad you weren't in it at the time.

You are right Neil, things could of been a lot worse and no one was hurt. But it still would be very annoying, hope that there is no structural damage done, easy enough to replace a few glasses before you go.

A member on here had his motorhome stored at a storage facility - some young idiots broke into the storage yard and did quite major damage to their motorhome as well as some others stored there.
The broke in - squirted handcream all over the furniture and the bed, broke things, stole things - not to mention the damage just breaking in! Took quite a while to get it all repaired through insurance, they now store it where there is more security with cameras etc.
So not only in your driveway - can happen anywhere!
