I will be heading over to beautiful Tasmania. Yep on Sunday, Aussie Day , I will be on board the good ship "Spirit" sailing the high seas during a day sail so I can see where we are going.
For those over there and if you would like to catch up just give me a hoy on PM. I will based at Devonport and doing day trips from there with maybe a couple of over night sleepovers somewhere. No real plans at this stage.
I am not sure exactly how long I will be over there but do want to be back at base camp in Victoria by 22/2 for some very important visitors.

Hi all. Doug a quick tip from an old salt. Pack a kilo of tomatoes for nibblies in case the weather comes up as these are the best preventative/cure for mal de mer, commonly called sea sickness. They taste the same on the way up as they did on the way down and have no large lumps in them. Cheers.

I have been to Tassie twice, both for 3 weeks each so have been on the good ship "Spirit" 4 times, 2 there and 2 back, all at night with no problems, just couldn't sleep on those tiny beds with what they call pillows, the first trip back to Vic we took our own pillows to the cabin. You learn some things real quick.
This trip will both be day sails so will be interesting and different but I will be in very good company going over and who knows when coming back to Vic.

You do not need to see where you are going there should be a guy on board called a captain, he will look where he's is going. (I hope).
Pleased to say I will not be in Tassie during your time frame.
No need to rush back to base camp as we will not be there.
I suppose I had better fall in line with all the others and say have a great trip (bugga that hurt to say that)

If it's a daylight sailing, there's not much chance of you getting lost and ending up over here I suppose. Not that customs would let you into the country.

he can just use his return ticket and go back to Victoria on the next sailing.
