I was out driving and found Briche's hiding spot. Yep met up with Brian and Cheryl yesterday and had a great catch up and a beautiful lunch. It has been 12 months since we last met up so was great to see them again. We might even get to catch up in Tassie in a week or two, if I extend my stay there that is.

Thanks Doug for catching up yesterday. It was great to see you again, so many stories of travels since our last meeting. hope we can touch base again in Tassie. We leave on the boat on the 3rd Feb and will be in the state for a month so if anyone is in Tassie during that time would love to do a catch up.
once again Doudwe, thanks for yesterday
Brian and Cheryl

Well, it is definite, I will be extending my stay but haven't changed my return booking yet, that will be done when I arrive on Sunday and speak with my Brother and Sister in-law. Might even end up staying an extra 2 weeks.
Mmmm, will I ever come back to base camp

Have a safe and great trip Doug.
Just wondering what the cost would be to take a van across (on the ship of course) to Tassie.
My neice is moving there in April
cheers
Terry

Terry - you can work out how much it would cost to go on the ferry - go to the Spirit of Tasmania website - the official one - you can put dates, the size of your vehicle, height and length of the total - car + caravan - whether you want a cabin or not - dates you want to travel etc - it is not set in concrete until you actually do the payment - you can change things to suit - and that will give you a price. Some dates are busier than others, and the daytime sailings are only through the summer. The ocean recliners are ok - we used them both ways - there are pensioner discounts available as well - read everything on the site. Then you will know exactly what you are up for.
Tasmania is a great place - but to do it justice, the longer you can stay the more you will see!!! We had four months, and did 6500k - loved every minute of it!
