It is lovely to have some of the small things from your Dad, Milo - my son has a spot on his bookcase, a little sandstone box with some ashes, a tiny crocodile his dad loved, some rocks and a model car he made, plus his first oil painting (small) - he likes to have these things around him.
It will get easier, mate, just take it one step at a time.

Hi guys,
just wanted to share a few things I gathered from dads today
I have a couple of his pipes,still with the smell
a couple of lighters I had to fill all the time and
a couple rocks gathered from a trip dad shouted my niece and I
went to Turkey a few years ago.. all these things he owned but couldn't take
with him on his next journey ....
