I would like to ask why some people don't put any detail on their profile - ok not a town, but a state at least, maybe an age group - nothing worse than someone saying - "the weather here is terrible" - and no indication of where "here" is - and as for the age group - just out of curiosity on my part really, helps to get a picture of the person in my head.

And why don't people put some information about themselves in the biography section - vehicle, what they tow, or just some info to help personalise them.  Like "working way round the country", stuff like that.

I know we have all these "privacy" issues, but hey - not asking for your private info like bank account or licence number - just some general info.

I originally had my name and age etc on my profile. Within days of my profile being up I was PM'd by quite a few men. One even asked if he could be my travel companion. 

then, re my tug n van, there were the questions of ' how come you have a nice set up etc '.

I felt uncomfortable with all this, back then, as a solo, so took down my info.

I will talk the hind leg off a donkey, given the chance. But I like to know who I am talking to. That's all. 

Also, a lot of people watch the site, but aren't members.

Simple like that! For me, anyway

 Or better still 333 I could put a picture of Dougwe, naw not a good idea, cos he is so ugly, would make all the other members on GN sick. 

now back on topic for me  Jules, I just put dazren's info in my profile seems to work ok, I have not had any bad pm's and I bloody check in there every day in case I miss one.
