Happy Wanderer's post below made me realise unless I explained why I put this here I would end up with everyone misunderstanding my intention.
HW has it right .... I find the top half of the photo abhorrent and the lower half where I try to keep my head.
Thanks HW for making me realise others would not get my drift.
Cheers - John

Could be Chaos and Misery at top.
Peace and harmony at bottom.
I would like to think so anyway.

The reality is that you need to endure the drudgery of a successful and civilised life in order to be able to afford the luxury of a weird and unproductive retirement.
One could argue that there's no shortage of nature for homeless and unemployed people. It doesn't solve their problem though.

Its interesting that nowadays most homeless people seem to be in cities. There was a time when people used to take to the road, camp out, look for work on farms.... remember swaggies?

Well when I retire full time I won't be using any words over 1 syllable. So I have no idea what's going on anywhere anytime.

Homeless and living in a city means you don't have to go to far, get meals every day, get free accommodation in refuges and can easily find places to camp. In the bush they have long distances to cover, very few people will pick up a swaggie and very little work in rural area's.
