Noel (Gus) Guthrie passed away quietly in Albury on Saturday morning following a stoke a few days earlier. Gus is best known to vanners and campers as the person responsible for the rise of the FPA chain of tourist parks across Australia ands New Zealand. As CEO he built the chain from an initial membership of around 50 parks to the biggest chain in the country with more than 200 parks. This number has declined somewhat after his retirement a few years ago. Gus was also the recipient of many Tourist and Industry awards. To his brother Michael (CEO of the Oz Parks Chain), his two sisters and the extended family, I pass on my sincerest condolences for their loss and the loss of my long time Mate. R.I.P. Gus. Ozjohn.

Condolences from me too. However, I noted that Gus suffered a stroke after " his retirement just a few years ago". Happens too often as I'm sure many GNs will agree. Get out there, relax, and leave the stress behind.
