Poppy's friend had his caravan stolen yesterday from his driveway. The caravan was going to be traded in on a new van like our own. The friend usually puts a lock on the hitch to stop it being towed away, but as it was being traded the next day he thought he wouldn't do it...
The van was found a short time later on its side, the thieves escaped. The van has just about every panel damaged. Luckily it was insured. But now he has a van all ready to be picked up, but he can't pick it up until his insurance pays out. I'm just glad he got it back, but I hope these scum bags get what they deserve. I hope their car was damaged or they got hurt when they tipped it.
The poor friend and his wife, travel everywhere with their van, and had only just got back from a long trip. You just never know what is going to happen, and it could even happen on your own property.

I know how they feel
we looked for years for our motor home.
Drove it back from QLD and put it into storage. 2 months later it was broken into stripped and damaged.
has taken a year to get it back in order, yes insurance covered some but it really put a dent into our travel plans.

Thieves are like accidents, fires, storms and all the other unfortunate events we guard against and try to avoid. Thieves exist, and always will. We need to be ever mindful of that, and ever vigilant. It's a sad fact of life, but it remains a fact.

I'm with you Cloak with the additional information that due to the increasing cost of ammunition NO warning shots will be fired.
