Hi all, just wondering if many go to the gem festival in Glenn Innes, we are thinking of going and looking for places to stay, we usually free camp but need somewhere to leave the van safely while we look about town. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the "Three waters high country holidays" about 15 k out of town??? , we'll also camp around tingha after the festival. Thanks in advance. Whitey.

We go to the Glen Innes Celtic Festival often as we will be again this year. It's held on the first weekend of May and goes for 4 days They always open the showground up for campers and all types of vans and vehicles so maybe you could try there. The caretaker's number is:

Glad to be of help.
The Showground is a lovely place to camp especially during the Celtic Festival in May when all the leaves are multi coloured and forming a carpet on the ground. As you can see, we tented it last time as our caravan is unregistered pending renovation.
