And I'm guessing the tasty Trumpy fits in the trailer ?
Welcome aboard,by the way.
Here's a thought. You could head off to the Ulysses AGM in Alice Springs this year.
( If you're a Ulyssian )
A good Ulyssian Mate is 91 and has taken out the prize for the oldest person
to RIDE to an AGM seven years running.( That includes Albany WA 2 years ago.)
He lives outside Ipswich SE Qld.
This year he's loading his sidecar outfit on the back of the ute & towing the caravan.
Why isn't he riding this year ? Can't carry enough beer for the trip in the sidecar.

trailer was purpose-built, it holds my genny, spare fridge/freezer, tools and stuff, as well as Bonnie. I'm not a ulyssian, still spend most of riding miles with 1%ers, and doing the occasional contribution to ozbike. beats the heck out of working, eh?

tenting's a good start. you don't need a big bank balance to get started and free-camping is, as the name suggests, free. buy the 'camps australia' book, it's about $80 but it has 1,000's of free camp sites all around oz and most of them are good, some are really good. you also meet a 'better class' of people there, as opposed to caravan parks and, dare I say it, 'cheap motels' (sounds like a 'd' grade American movie).

the new bonnies are great. I've done 107,000ks and she's only let me down twice and both times it was a coil. the only spanners that have been on it are for servicing and the engine mods I had done. never lost a drop of oil either. top machine!
