FUMES from a jerry can were the cause of the explosion ignited by a gas powered refrigerator.
A man was near the jerry can when the explosion happened.
Two people had burns to 12% of their body.
They were taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment.
Another person had burns to their hand.
They have been flown to the Hervey Bay Hospital.
All are in a stable condition.
EARLIER: Three people have been injured after a gas fridge exploded on Fraser Island.
The trio were camping on Orchid Beach when the explosion happened.
One man was standing near the fridge and was burnt.
Two other people attempted to assist the man when they also received burns.

It was also spilled fuel and fumes from a jerry can, ignited by a gas fridge pilot light that caused a fire and severe burn injuries to a man and his wife (who tried to help her husband) at Banka Banka Station in NT years ago. He was about to refuel a generator.
