Myself(Robin) and the boss (Cerita) are about to start on the trip of a lifetime. We sold our house a few months ago and have been parked on the daughters driveway while I finish off a few "bits"" on the bus. We have a 1985 volvo B10M 40foot country school bus which over the last 4 years I have been converting it to a fully self contained motor home.
We plan on leaving Perth on boxing day and travelling to Adelaide where we plan on staying for a while.
If any one out there can suggest places to stop and see during the trip across the Nullarbor we would love to hear from you. As we have a "BIG RIG" (the bus and a 6m covered trailer) we are limited on the places we can stay at. We have brought a copy of camps Australia which is great but it does not beat personal recommendations.
We look forward to hearing from others who are doing the same as us
cheers

Welcome to the site Robin - that is a big unit you have there!!!
I don't have any recommendations for you, but am sure that some will be forthcoming in the near future - meantime check out the "free/budget campsites" sub forum on here - some good spots there.

Welcome from us too robcer. Nor can I help as the last time I did the Nullarbor was mid 1960's in a mini cooper and it was gravel with huge bog holes from semi's being bogged. These holes had 44gal drums in them with hurricane lamps on top. Every traveller used to stop and share a warm beer . Now it's tarred....boooooo........LOL
