Hi there Nifty,
Was at eighty mile beach (WA) in 2012. As far as I can recall there is no free camping along the beach in this area.
The caravan park was well maintained & managed with all amenities, but no jumping pillows etc. Prices were very reasonable as I recall.
Enjoy the West, Take your beach rod to Eighty mile. They all fish for threadfin salmon, Nothing to see 100 anglers spread out on the beach,

The road to the C/P is not sealed and was a bit corrugated, but not a problem if you take it easy. The C/P isn't free but not expensive, and during the busy season in 2011 they had some entertainment happening. At that time the whole place was recovering from cyclone damage but we found it a magic place. The beach goes on forever at low tide, and the non-fisher-people will enjoy shell collecting.

gets very busy and booked out at times - other places nearby are Pardoo Station and cape Kereudron (wrong spelling) which has no facilities
In 2011 when we were there you could not book just turn up. If no power sites are available they will give you an unpowered until a powered site come available, usually the next day. We arrived about 2 pm got an unpowered site for one night and then in the morning we hightailed it to the office to put our name down for a powered sit. First in first served.
Lovely park, markets in the park every Wednesday and Saturday ( I think), entertainment, great fishing and you can collect the most beautiful shells off the beach in early morning. You can also drive for many kilometres along the beach, the cheapest laundry we have ever seen. Spotless amenities. lots of WA people who stay for months. Good shop too. You are in the middle of a cattle station.

We stayed for 7 days & had a ball ,left on the Sunday @ 1400rs just ahead of the cyclone. Found the management to be very helpful.
