Thats a fair question, I beleive that some charge extra if you have air con, so my guess is that they would if they could.
Just for the record I think these vehicles have a different 240v plug, matbe like the three phase units for heavy equipment.
With the rising costs of power makes one wonder just how economical these will be.

I noticed up in Townsville along the strand they have a charge point in one parking bay and yes JC the fitting was similar to your suggestion.
Annoyingly for a driver of such a vehicle was that non electric cars were parking in that spot every time I went past, near the cop shop as well. I did notice someone booking a car one day though as there are signs there.
I wonder how long it takes to fully charge when hooked into a power supply.
My thought on the CV Park would be, you paid for a power site so...........

Just take the plug that comes with your car. One end plugs into the car, the other into a 240v outlet.

NaaaHH ??? forget Electric cars,, THEY ARE NOT VIABLE ??
I was reading a report in a Magazine, stating that the Chinese, are going to ''Mass Produce'' A basic electric car that will Run between Melbourne and Sydney and the cost of Electricity for a one way trip would only be around 8 to 9 dollars, The Basic Car on road Cost ???? Only $12000.00 Problem is the extra's you NEED to buy as well ??
For Example ?? the Extension Cord to make that trip was around $260000.00,, Nah forget it

Last I heard on a podcast from Cambridge Uni is the very best battery technology is about 10 time less than the energy available in petroleum.
They say there is no battery technology likely to ever equal hydrocarbons.
Other than hydrogen fuel cells, that's it for the foreseeable future.
We're lucky to have one of the worlds largest deposits of coal gas or natural gas whatever they call it these days which can be used in a fuel cell.
Trouble is we plan to give all this gas away so sorry GN's we have to walk.

There is hope on the horizon, with a product called graphene, they reckon they will build a car battery the size of a coke bottle, with a 300km range, and it will re charge in less than the time it currently takes to pump a tank of petrol.
When I first heard about this amazing material I did not believe what i was reading, but little things like the European Union giving Nokia (a little shoe company) a one billion euro grant to commercialise the product, plus companies like Samsung, and IBM making statements about what they are investing to develop the material they reckon is the 21st centuries equivalent of what plastic was to the 20th century.
Have a look at what is on the web, about this product, it is amazing.

The elect code doesn't allow that !!
Full elect cars require charging.. Hybrids charge on deceleration..

This may sound a strange question but if
one used a powered site would that CP
allow one to charge ones hybrid vehicle
at sites allocated power source ??????
