There is an unpleasant odour emanating from the caravan galley sink. I don't know what I could safely use to clean the grey water piping to eliminate this smell. Does anyone have a recommendation for what I could use?

try some nappy soaker dissolved in hot water.
block the outlet and fill the pipes but don't forget to put the plug in the shower(if installed) or you might flood the shower.
leave it for a half hour then drain it.
worked for us, we do it about every year or so now.

I use carb soda with white vinegar poured over it. I use this at home so it may work - bubbles up a bit but does the job here.

Thank you Frank and Nelly for your suggestions. I'll give one or both of your methods a go. R.

We use enzymes - available at the supermarket - in liquid or pellet form - we use the pellets - a large teaspoon full every month seems to keep things pretty sweet!
