I,m trying to load Gps Co Ordinates into my Tom Tom 620.
I type in 29.41.03 S 152. 56. 24 E Should be Grafton Showgrounds but its coming up a different location nowhere near Grafton.
I got the co ordinates out of camps7 , they don't have a dot in between numbers , however Tom Tom does not have a spacebar ,not that I can find , so I added a dot , would this be throwing it off course.
Also any tips on where to get POI's for Tom Tom
Thanks

if you can add c ordinates you should be able to put the correct marks in between
ie hours second and minutes which are the same marks as on maps

We have a "Navman" and it is very simple to add co-ordinates, Latitude and Longitude.
E.g. 27 Degrees 25 Minutes 45 Seconds s. Lat. 153 58 01 e. Long.
The degrees, minutes and seconds symbols will appear on the screen of your Tom Tom.
Mine will then display the exact address of the point you are looking for and retain that in the "places" file.
I often identify a point of interest on Google or an appropriate map and write that into a small indexed note book.
I then have it ready to hand if i need that information.
Then if necessary implant that to the "Navman" and you are away.
I have two books, and one is for land marks the other for fishing spots.
Works for me.
Have fun Haji-Baba.

Have you checked that your Tom Tom is set to read lat/long in d:m:s format - my old Tom Tom One can be set to that as well as two other formats - decimal degrees (d.dddd) and degrees and decimal minutes (d:m.mmmm). For the TT One the format is selected via Change Preferences > Set Units.

I paid about $20 for the camps book download and all I do is put in the corresponding number from the book and up it comes.
