I only just yesterday booked the boat to go there in late January to visit my Brother and sister in-law in Devonport Jules. The Avan is staying home as I will be staying with them. Will only be there a week at this stage but that could change when there. I have been known to change things. I have been to Tassie twice so have seen a lot anyway but will do day trips and maybe even a couple of one night stands.

No reason why I can't go. It's only a 1 1/2 hour drive away. Be an excellent opportunity to meet up with the people I only know by a posting name... Date is in the 2014 Diary...

I have checked out the website http://www.peacefestwynyard.com/ and there is nothing about overnight accommodation for MHs and Caravans. Hopefully others who have attended previous Festivals can enlighten us. I have also sent an e-mail to the organisers posing the same question. I'm sure space will be available for us as they should appreciate a captive crowd for the entire Festival. Let's see what feedback we get... There are a few free camps close by if need be...

A few of us camped over last year, and ended up with about 5 rigs from memory, we will be going again this year so will watch with interest. Will catch up with Daisy and Zep the organisers next Sunday and will report back.
Three of the rigs I'm talking about are currently at Green's lake.

Sent an email to the organisers with a few questions. This is the reply I received:
hi Ken , thanks for your email re: camping at peacefest 2014 (MYALLA).Myalla Community Grounds is an excellent venue ( it used to be a football oval/club) and has been converted into a community centre approx. 14ks west of wynyard and 50m off the bass hwy. Overnight parking is available onsite frid 21st /sat 22nd,( the event is sat 22nd) we have no powered sites or showers it would be preffered if vans were self contained, if campers could fill up with water before they come it would be great as we are on tank water. There is no charge for camping or to hold a market stall, if at the end off or during the festival campers would like too they are welcome to give a donation towards the hire of the venue, this is completely optional. Our aim is to provide an enjoyable event in a relaxed setting that is affordable for people and familys to attend. Healthy yummy food will be available from the kitchen. Volunteers are always welcome in the kitchen and on site we will have a roster for this if anyone is interested in getting hands on (peacefest is totally run by volunteers). Don't forget to wear your groovy threads and get into the swing of things...looking forward to seeing you there.. check the website for any extra info.
