LOOKED AT ROCK STOMPERS , ETC
HAS ANYONE FITTED OR USED THE CLEAR , PERXPLEX TYPE MATERIAL OVER THE WINDOW OR WINDOWS ON THE REAR OF TUG , THERE IS A SHOP IN MELB SELLING THESE TYPE WITH SUCTION CAP OR STICK ON TAPE , CURIOUS

Hi Grae and Deb,
I have not fitted one yet, ut received some interesting advice when asking about the black mesh type last week. Be wary of the clearance for your jockey wheel, or more correctly for your hand as you wind the jockey wheel up/down. It appears that they cause real problems in this area if fitted too close.

I've just picked up some Polycarbonate sheet from Home Hardware .. it's thin .. clear .. strong and flexible ..
with it, I also purchased 2 small packs each holding (3) small stand-off plastic suction cups with a little wire hook attached ..
Trace/mark and cutout the shape of the back window from the Polycarbonate ..
From the stand-off cups, remove the wire hook attachment that is used to hold an object for hanging and discard ..
The plastic knob where the wire holder was attached, is what is pushed through small holes that are drilled in appropriate locations in the cut-out shape of the piece of polycarbonate ..
I have already prepared to do mine but currently preoccupied .. this deflector was built by one of the sales staff at the shop, and its all a one-stop-shop ..

See attached pic,, sorry can't quite see all but you get the gist of it.
You can make your own a la my style,,, works very well pushes dust and water out the side. Cheap option and never need to fit or take off.
Adjust to 50mm off ground (or max suspension travel so it doesn't "bottom out),,,, no stones have hit the van so far as I can see.
