When we are at home we always have homemade pizza for dinna on Sat evening..
Of late the bases we have been getting have very hard crusts that is very painful on our tender mouths.,.
Does anyone have a favourite base or recipe that is a little softer..
I'm wondering how bread with the crusts removed would go..

I really don't want to advertise for Woolies but the Pizza bases they have in the deli section are really tasty and remain fairly soft. They are herb and spices abut not too strong.

G'day Bob
Try the Aldi ones ,they are heaps better than the ones from Woollies
we put them in the pre heated oven for ten minutes at 200 C
the we turn the grill on and they stay there for around 5 min (try and error ) you have to try yourself
if any questions please feel free to ask
Cheers John

I have used lebanese bread as pizza crust. I have also made my own crust which were quite easy. Flour yeast and water I think with a bit of oil.
I've also tried the Aldi one and it was good too.

Try mixing a basic scone dough to make the base and take it from there.

My brother's 8 month old granddaughter can eat a corn cob using only her gums. Shame on you.

Im with you on the lebanese bread jetj, I dont use the traditional pizza bases as I feel they are too 'doughie' and tend to bloat me.
Cheers

I also used to use Lebanese bread, then I copped a tip to try Puff pastry...just one square sheet with the edges folded in and then half cooked in the oven prior to adding all the filling and wham...the best pizza that money CAN'T buy!

We tried 3 slices (1 each) of the big oval loaf Woolies Tigger bread last night and it got the thumbs up from all of us..
The crust came up crispy and the body was lightly toasted underneath but still was easy to eat and was very tasty..

I reckon the puff pastry would be lovely but oh the calories.
