This pic has been sent to me by my step-granddaughter in England. She needs to find out if anyone knows where this could have been taken, it is somewhere in Australia and she think in Nth Qld somewhere. Needs to know for an article she is writing.
I know this is probably in the wrong section, so don't yell at me, but wanted to see if anyone might know and this is the most widely read section.
I very much doubt it was taken in Australia going by the vehicle, sign writing and building state. Probably somewhere in Asia, more likely India, Bangladesh !!

I also don't think it was in Oz .. not saying that it wasn't though.
The wall advertising could have "barracharia" .. which relates to something like a service station or automotive shop in Brazil ..
See if she'd recently been to St Paulos or similar ..
If I come up with any Australian info, will put it forward ..

Somewhere in Spain I would say as we used to go often in a previous life and hire one of those buggy's as a runabout.

The sign would probably be for a 'borracharia' or in English - a repair shop (tyres/mechanic etc). It is a Brazilian/Portugese word so my guess would be Brazil.

Wanderlust has it pretty well correct.
The photo is one of a series taken in Brazil by a French photographer named Christophe Kutner. It his from his Gisela Brazil series. You will find it in the archive on his website.
There are five pics in the series with the red and white jacket featuring in them - along with Gisela, of course.

Thanks all.

As Fuego indicated, the photo is the work of Christophe Kutner. However, it's a little harder to find than just looking up the archives - here's the link http://www.trunkarchive.com/C.aspx?VP3=SearchResult&SEARCH=1&SN=CHRISTOPHE+KUTNER&FT=&VBID=2P0UBHO6DXYV9
Once there you'll need to register to get more info.
