The next door neighbour has just painted his roof with heat reflective paint and said that the inside temp went down 3 or 4 C. He gave me some so I am painting the slide on with it. Has anybody else painted their van with this type of paint? I look forward to your views. Bill

From what I've seen, there are some pretty outlandish claims about heat reflecting paints with big companies such as Dulux getting into trouble with the ACCC over false advertising (see below).
If your roof is a dark colour and you paint it white or silver you will reduce the roof heat absorption considerably....that is using ordinary paints. www.abc.net.au/news/2012-12-05/dulux-cops-accc-heat-over-temperature-claims/4410030
