Michael has been talking about this all week.
Said it a double Doona, sleeping bag with a built in mattress and super expensive. Was thinking about getting one if the price came down.

Sounds fantastic, I don't like the usual type of wrap-your-feet-up sleeping bags... look forward to hearing from somebody who has one.

FANTASTIC. I will keep an eye on this thread as I reckon there could be on in the Avan in the near future. Price is good really as a good sleeping bag would cost more than that and uncomfortable.

I think someone mentioned these last year on the forum. Maybe the post can be found in Search.

For thos e who still have their sewing machine, I reckon you might be able to construct one of these from an existing duvet, existing quilt cover, a mattress from Clarke rubber or wherever, and some sheeting to cover it. Would be a lot cheaper!

Hi Judy
I am only a new member and saw your post. I did a lot of research into these when I saw them in a motorhome magazine. I actually purchased one from the Camp and Caravan Show in Sydney back in April, and took it away with me in my Avan Aliner. I only got back after 2 weeks away on Sunday.
Usually I get up with a bit of a wonky back and need to straighten up. I don't have a inner spring mattress, just a lounge sponge on plywood. I personally think that this is the best money I have every spent. I actually woke up completely rested and with no back problems. I really did not think it would be as good as it was. I think it is "pure magic". Better than I ever thought it would be. I was amazed!!
When researching RV's I remember reading something someone wrote "Don't buy the biggest one you can afford, but the smallest one you can live in". When researching the Duvalay, and reading lots of different comments, one said "You get what you pay for". I certainly don't regret the money I spent. I love it!!!

Hi Ann,
If you buy the egg crate type sponge overlay from Clark Rubber or other place you will find this will make a great difference to your bed comfort, add a doona inner on top if you want a bit more comfort, you will sleep like a top.....
Is $143 on the camper site will have a look around and see if cheaper elsewhere, looks ok single bottom and like double on top.....
Does Michael have one??
