So we still can have fun with the kids swings and jumping pillows in the caravan parks....Maybe the caravan parks could install adult play equipment.

They will be obliged by their insurers to follow the example of councils who have been forced to remove a lot of equipment through whingers and litigation.
Long ago, we lost the tall swings and steel slippery slides from the local parks.
There have been a couple of rounds of replacements, with long delays in between that were unavoidable as money and policy were sorted.
Now the newer exercise equipment is being removed, including some creative designs that encouraged people to use the facilities. An example could be the hinged weight pushed out to exercise the pecs.
Sorry for the gripe but whiners and PC have the upper hand. The Council tries hard but there seems to be an over-supply of lawyers out to make work for themselves..

Gday...
AWWW Cmon folk don't turn another one of what I thought were light-hearted antidotes to our far too serious life.
The words within the photo are the real thought .. the photo is supposed to just provide a bit of context.
Lighten up please - it was meant to make you think how much better it would be if we put more fun into our lives.
I guess such light-hearted fare is wasted here.
cheers - John

Ah, yes, memories of those tall swings. I used to pull on the chains and use my feet on the seat to get up so high I could see over the top bar. I reckon I could still do it too... provided no one was looking.

I love swings - and the grandchildren love a role-reversal when you ask them to push you instead of us pushing them. Trouble is my bottom isn't as small as it once was and it's a tight fit! Haha.
Thanks for all your great 'words of wisdom (&fun)' you post on the 'I digress...' section, rockylizard. I'm always amazed where you find them.

I love flying foxes, Grand kids always dare grandpa to have a go and are still surprised when he does.
The other challenges are nerf(?) gun fights, water pistol fights. I do pull out when the challenge is to
dive off the 5 or 10 meter boards. Fun is the enjoyment of doing the unexpected things.

I'm with you rockylizard, there should be as much fun in life as we can cram in. One of the things I love about being a grandma is being able to do kids things with her without feeling foolish and I love all those kid's movies with happy endings!
