I have spent a number of years in mainland China and found that the people are very interesting to sketch. They are expressive . Here I sketched a couple of my students, from Tsing Hua University in Zhuhai .

That's a beautiful sketch Peter. I've lost my confidence with art after I lost all my stuff in a fire, but now that I've retired I really want to get back into it and I'm hoping to take some lessons to get me back on track. (You don't happen to be near Bundy do you?)

That's great and beautiful!. I do drawing as well and think you really managed to show the character and style of the people.

Hi Marianna,
sorry you lost your art gear in the fire. You know , when you get into your painting, it really relaxes and gives you such a fullfilling feeling.
Unfortunately I am not near Bundy , but online is the best way to learn/ improve yourself. I often go online to improve my techniques and I do pick up a lot of hints and help. I am trying to master pastels and it is hard, especially shading etc...but I go online to discover many new ways to use them.
I really wish you the best and I would be more than happy to be a gentle critic of your work anytime. Get back into it...I think it is a fresh start for your talent !
Take care, Peter.
