Thanks for the comments, friends and neighbors. Hey, Bill, didn't you read the captions below the pics I posted? You mean I went to all that trouble for nuttin? It's the Manning River - good for bream and flathead (so they say). But Wingham is further upstream so maybe not there. And John, yep, lowering the camper has made a big difference to handling. Much better now. A most appropriate pic, Billeeeeeee.
Sorry, Bill, I lied. I took a pic of a kid who caught a fair size bream at Wingham a couple of years ago. I also meant to thank you for the computer 12V charger tip. It works a treat.

Yep, finally hit the road, all 17kms of it to Wingham Brush on my first shakedown in PJ. First night was a bit of a kerfuffle but it got better after that. Main prob at the mo is my lack of stamina caused by a few medical issues - special diet, no teeth, etc. But things are improving slowly and I'm looking forward to becoming a fully fledged nomad eventually. Here's a sample pic... me practicing my camping technique. You'll find a bunch of pics of my first foray into life on the road here.
I don't think it is your camping technique you should practice, but your driving. You have some poor fellow caught in your bulbar.

Thanks again, y'all. Yes, I am a bit of a photo tragic hehe. Can't help it. As to Greens Lake, who knows? It all depends on which way I head when I finally leave the driveway for the last time, and that depends on a few things, like TEEEEEETH. If it's summer, I'll head south, winter, I'll head north. Spring or autumn, maybe west. Meanwhile, I'll keep the forum informed of progress with my "issues" and future mini Odysseys. My current diet means I can only be away for a few days at a time.
