G'day, g'day. My 12V cold water tap switch (over the sink) decided not to work the other day so I asked my auto elec mate to take a look. He got it working again but, to be sure, he put a second switch on the wires in an adjacent cupboard leading to the tap - a simple toggle switch. If the tap switch plays up again (which it may never) I just pull the toggle switch, open the tap, and voila, water! Saved having to replace the tap assembly and switch. In fact, he didn't want to charge me for the job but I gave him $30 anyway.
