Rather than add to milo's thread about his Dad in general forum I thought I'd just share my own journey over the past week.
Last Thursday my husband's Mum passed away so we headed to her town, where my Dad also lives. After seeing her (in her bed where she had died) I visited my Dad in dementia. He looked as bad as my mother-in-law. We got him taken to hospital and the next day they told us he was so sick with pneumonia he may not last long.
Today before my mother-in-law's funeral, our children visited my Dad and yes, he is still with us. He has overcome the pneumonia at this stage and was able to converse to some extent with the children. So yes, one gone but one still here. It's been a roller coaster week.

Life goes relentlessly forward doesn't it. It cares for none, I'm glad it doesn't though because we all have these moments to bear. If it kept stopping for us, well what would happen to the rest of the world., be in a right pickle.
