Have just developed a creaking in the van floor when walking on it we have a van with front kitchen and door at the front as in my avitar, this noise is driving my wife nuts so any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard of this before , I think their fix was to have one climb under the van while the second walkes around untill you pinpoint the creaking section. I believe a small timber wedge or two was then fitted between the floor & the chassis &/or crossmembers in that section.

we had the same problem in our millard
the noise was coming from a joint in the flooring. I got Mrs KFT to walk on it while I was under the van so I could pinpoint the location.
Once I knew where it was I filled the joints and the gaps with liquid nails and stayed off the floor until it set.
problem gone.

A more common reason for the floor creaking than chassis support is furniture not being secured securely to the floor. I was shown this to be the case in my van. The cure is to tighten the existing screws and add extra screws.

I might do the walking bit and get Mrs W to go under the van, I don't like heights.

We had the same problem in our Regent, I layed under the van while it was on stands and ran "Sikaflex" around both sides of all the chassis framing that came in contact with the floor, this was done 12 years ago and since it was done we never had any more squeaks while walking on the floor.
I even removed the water tank so no section was missed.
It took a while but well worth the effort.

this trip we developed a creaking floor near the en-suite after a few days on the one site . Fixed it by re-adjusting the drop down legs.

I will be interested to follow this thread. We also have a developed a creaking, just forward of the front axle. The only difference is that it is driving Mr D mad. Me, I just ignore it. Mr D has done the sikalfex thing, but still creaking. Maybe more attention is required along these lines.
