Anyone but the silver-tails!I would rather the chooks as they seem to be the underdogs(like Qld).Perhaps someone should pay the refs...........Bill,(by the way roosters won 26 to 18!)

I'm settled back here in Batemans Bay ready to see the Sea Eagles be victorious in a couple of hours time.
Now I haven't had any luck so far with end of the winter sport season and my team from down south didn't cut the mustard so GO SEA EAGLES. The only reason I choose them, is my favourite bird is the Eagle.
I'm also hoping my team the Atlanta Braves do some good overseas in MLB. (Baseball).

Oh well, the sun is shining, it's not cold and I can still enjoy it so all's well.

Don't really have an allegiance to either team although, and almost ashamed to admit it, was hoping for Manly, mainly for a few Qld'ers in the team and Geoff Toovey is a 100 percenter. Have watched a lot of RL over the years and I don't think I've ever seen a season where the Refs through bad calls have had such an influence over results. I didn't really care which team won and didn't watch it all but every time I switched over to get an update I saw another refereeing blunder. Perhaps in the long run the better team won and I hope so, but gee there were some shocking calls, which from what I saw didn't seem to favour Manly.

S , according to you blokes, Enssendon plays rugby league? The most biased football supporter I have evr known was an essendon supporter. He named his dog "bomber". We called it "bummer". He was a little guy who wanted to fight everybody, and usually lost. I thought nsw supporters were bad . Bill

It's great that we live in a democracy and have this forum,we can get on here and sprout off about our favourite sport and rib each other, isn't it great. My opinion of AFL is that it has become a big business rather than a sport, due to the large figures paid for players, but that 's the way many sports are going these days..It is still good though ,to follow a team and support them ..........GO DOGGIES ............ (for NRL and other league followers that's THE WESTERN BULLDOGS} Wombat I won't hold it against you, that you like Essendon, they are a good team, just got a bit lost

Having been born in Brisbane, no prizes for guessing which sport I follow. Now living in Tassie many months of the year, whenever I mention NRL or State of Origin, these guys laugh at me.. At least NRL is football not like that other game with players jumping up and down like ballerinas !!!...... Better go and hide !!
