Hi all i have just bought 2x60 watt second hand panels with a cmp12 regolator will this reglator work with one panel or has it to be conected to the both to make it work cheers snap

Not familar with the term CMP12, does the 12 indicate that its a 12 amp capacity?
If so it will handle both or just one if you wish. The main point to be sure of with any system is that the regulator is capable of handling the max amp output of all panels attached.

CMP12 is a common regulator. It can be used with 1, 2 or more panels as long as the total input current is less than the rated 10 amps. With the panels you currently have there should not be a problem. Less panels mean less input current to charge the battery but will still work.
