Can I ask are you on the road in van full time, as you have been very lucky or had an exceptional anode in your hot water tank.
I have to replace mine some times every six months.

.....and don't forget to release the pressure in a Suburban HWS &...turn off the water pump, before removing from the HWS. My brother hadn't checked his Jayco Stirling from new after 18 months, as Adelaide dealer hadn't mentioned it in handover...he didn't even know it had one. but was sure it would be O.K. as he "hadn't used it much"....anyway he disappeared round the exterior side of his Stirling after I gave him the unusual size socket that fits, and he appeared again looking like one of Santas' Alpine Reindeers with white "stuff" from head to foot as he crouched in front of it and removed, without releasing the pressure...I nearly cacked myself laughing as he stood forlornly holding the bare bolt anode with no aluminium/magnesium which had completely corroded..
Upshot he went immediately to dealer in Bendigo and still had white eyelids and ears and a feral white streak up his clothes like a skunk... and the the dealer looked at him and said...ahh one anode required sir?.....Lol...true story...Hoo Roo
