Had some stickers leave residue on plastic when we took them off. This resulted in a very ugly look, area always looked dirty. Also had some "silastic" type stuff on the laminate in the kitchen. Tried a few things to remove the sticky residue as well as the "silastic" - WD40, eucalyptus, elbow grease, none of which worked.
Got a product called "OOMPH" from Bunnings, $6.95 for small spray bottle - works a treat - removed the sticky residue, as well as the silastic, wich also required a bit of scraping with a piece of flat plastic.

Tonight I used Eucalyptus Oil on my van Jules
Where I'd taken the decals off I had been left with sticky residue which came off easily with the above.
Now I've got to polish Myrtle and get new decals.

We use Big Kevs Goo remover not sure if it's still available though I bought it a few years ago in Woolies. Removes lots of stuff even chewing gum.
Other than that Eucalyptus oil.

Tried eucalyptus oil on the sticky stuff and it didn't budge it. Same with the "silastic" nothing worked till I got this stuff. Didn't know you could still buy Big Kev stuff.

Use a product called De-Solv-it 125 ml will go a long way, this will also remove stubborn stickers from windows.
I think Bunnings have it in the cleaning section.

WD40 is the best goo remover going and what home/caravan does not have a can try it, you will be impressed.

Orange goo remover from woollies, coles or iga, is brilliant, it also removes stains from vinyl and vehicle paintwork.

Got a problem with a sticker I cant even get a fingernail under an edge its so well stuck. If I use a blade I'm scared of scratching the fibreglass. How can I shift it?
Edit... its a dealers sticker.

Hairdryer Rosie - heat it up and it will start to lift - any residue, plenty of ideas above!

Nope... its still absolutely adheres to the caravan. I scratched a bit off, and found that the colour has soaked through into the fibreglass, plus its marked from scratching. I think our best bet might be to find another sticker and cover this one. The Ooomph easily shifted the remains of another sticker though, thanks Jules.
Would advise anybody with Jayco dealers stickers on their van to remove them while the van is new, as they are permanent when sun-baked.

To get rid of the residual after pulling off stickers ... I use fly killer aerosol .... Just hold it close to the surface & spray it on, leave for a minute or so & wipe off. Works a treat.
Haven't tried it on silicon though.

Wd40 is good too. I used it to remove advertising stickers on my car doors. Work a treat, no damage to paint work either. But I prefer the smell of eucalyptus oil.

After removing the sticker with a hairdryer, remove the sticky residue with diesel. Our daughter uses it often in her work and swears it does a better job than other remedies. Doesn't harm the paintwork either.
