I just received a book about my G G G Grandmother. she was from Wales. Trouble is the book is in Welsh. With the help of google translate I should get it translated one day
She was in Tasmania and was a bit naughty so I guess she may of ended up in the Female factory.
Just as a little anecdote Lisa McCune played a police woman in Blue Healers named Maggie Doyle. She then played a convict in The Potato Factory. One of my GG grandmothers was in the Female Factory and her name was Maggie Doyle.
Translation isn't to good
Introduction
Anne Williams story came to my attention when sitting in the Library of Plas Tan y Bwlch and where I should be listening to the lecture , but the lecture or the lecturer among the most inspiring in the world . Instead of listening , I gave my attention to a book on the shelf in f'ochr and note its title, the author and content. In it I came across the story of Anne for the first time but, unfortunately , in the subconscious of the details were kept . Having reconsidered the importance of such a story in years , work has begun and probing and realize , at that time , so few of the area who knew about the case , and to those who knew her that some a misapprehension of what happened . For some, innocent girl she was wrongfully imprisoned . For others , Anne was guilty of countless crimes . It is now too late to get the real facts on dusty and must meet in order to give flesh and blood on the dry bones .

How interesting even if in Welsh. I would love to get some info of my GGgrandmother form Glasgow but so far no luck. I have some about my GG grandfather so that also was interesting.

Oh Dorian you are clever.
"made for him"
I also have a convict he came out on the ASIA 9 1831.
Eventually married a girl whose whole family left Lincolnshire 1837, her father William Bottom was an Ag Lab and came here hoping for land, that happened in 1852 in Berrima NSW
For anyone tracing their ancestors. My GGGrandmother was in the Female factory in Hobart.
