Perhaps many do not have any problem with female drivers. Most female drivers I know are better than their male partners.
Having said that - the cartoon does attract a smile - perhaps a wry smile

Didn't think you would get may bites with that one. Unfortunately we cant see how what the passenger's knuckles are but from the expression I suspect very white.
But I can safely say I know the feeling. Though with age and a dash of diplomacy I managed to avoid, now departed, wife from seeing my EKKKKKkkkkkkk feeling.
She did have a dash of lead foot as well didnt help.
Last girl friend gave me the same feeling. Nothing to grab on the dash so my reactions almost ended up with a re modelled armrest, sort of had a handgrip impression formed in it.
I am now safe, no back seat driver, no front seat instructor telling me how to drive and which route to take because it is how they do it, no more secret ear plugs.

I still miss the" O sh$t" bar on the dash in front of the passenger seat of the troopy came in very handy when the wife was driving

Obviously I am a female driver, but I've gotta say, I know a couple of women drivers who should not be allowed to engage reverse gear (I'm not one of them).
My son complained that I drive like an "old woman" and I replied that's the reason I've lived long enough to be one! I'm not sure tho what "old woman" driving actually means, but if it's what I do then mostly it's just not aggressive enough for a young man

LOL............ Not brave mate, just honest and SWMBO know's my feelings that's why I drive most of the time. I am a TERRIBLE passenger, but Linda is a fantastic navigator and does a fantastic job when we arrive and back onto a site,............................. and she know's it!!!
