Go to nearest hardware shop,,, buy 1/2m clear tube to fit (after heating in hot water so it slides on),,, and fit appropriate length.
Will be effected by sun so save the other part of the 1/2 m for later.
cheers Baz

What about that 'Rescue Tape' that was talked about on the forum not that long ago Rosie? It wraps around on it self and would be like a rubber grip. You can get it Bunnings or similar stores.

Also try some suitable sized Heat Shrink, a few layer on layer set up may give a good grip.

I agree with Mobi, a few layers of "dual wall" or "glue lined" heatshrink. Or some cotton reinforced rubber hose if you can find that. Hmm or even some heavy garden hose for that matter.
I need a grip for the handbrake on the van - Roadstar.
Have tried the caravan shops- the best option to date has been to replace the whole coupling.
Anyone got any ideas?
the rubber piece you mean ???
try an push bike shop
Just an tough
good luck Rosie
I have bought ones for the handbrake on Jayco's Rosie, not sure if they are the same size, got mine from a Camec store...
Edit: Also bought one for an A'Van camper trailer from Camec, so some at least must be a standard size....
