I have just completed The Big lap - what an incredible adventure! Note clearly that I haven't finished traveling, there is still so much to see! But for now grandparent duties, dog duties, Happy Tax Man Duties and house renovating will tie me down for a while.

What does the big lap actually entail... all around the circumference and nothing in the center?

I think we are doing the big zig zag. A couple of years going all over each state. Been gone three years and no where near finished a lap. Well done for getting around.

Normally the circumference. But.... diversions? Going through the centre is a seperate trip. It's like doing Victoria. Around the outside, but a helluva lot in the middle

Well done Anton - you will want to keep yourself busy when you get home, or you might want to do another trip - maybe a figure 8????

Glad to hear you arrived safely. I like the idea of the figure 8 - not a lot of choice of roads in WA but then so many stops still to do. And of course TAS one day I guess is a must

It's great to set up your stopovers on google maps like that. I keep that as a sort of diary of where I've been, which helps me create slideshows (with captions) of my trips. I also have a similar map of "places I want to check out" which is a map of places others have been that look worth investigating. Nowhere near as many map pins on my map though. Well done!

Glad to hear you have arrived home safely Anton. I also arrived home a week ago. Don't leave it too long before you hit the road again, there is a heck of a lot to see out there.
Cheers!

The icons are actual night stopovers it is not a road map.
