Thanks for that Chris.
It's flowing well but a bit low.
There was a fair bit of moss in one area.
Very clear though.
I spoke to a couple who stay there for
a few days at a time regularly.
They said the water is fine, just boil it.

Hi George Lind and Fang,
This looks like a good spot. Have tried looking it up on Google maps to no avail. Is it obvious to find on Gatton-Clifton road? And is that heading southwest?
Any help would be great. Looking to get out there this coming Friday.
Also do you know of any other similar spots in SEQ?
Cheers

G'day Grant & Audrey,
Here's the lowdown.
In Gatton find the Apex Park / Cultural centre.
( Great coffee and a machinery museum.)
Head towards Grantham.
A few Kms along,on left will be the Gatton/Clifton Rd.
You will go through Ma Ma Creek.
( 1 shop,1 church,1 school and a few houses.)
Some interesting road works going on.
Just after Heifer Creek crossing number 2 .
Camp is on the left.
Enjoy.
Hope this helps.

Just to add to above.
Yes,heading south/west from Gatton.
There's a $11 per site ( 2nd night free ) place at Thornton.
From Laidley head west-ish to Mulgowie ( Old rustic pub, nice food )
Continue on to Thornton. Very quiet area.
By a creek,hot showers & toilets.
Run from the Lake Dyer camp ground in Laidley.
Haven't been there for years but from recent photos looks nice.

Doug, I use Windows live movie maker.
Came standard with Windows 7.
I just fiddled & played with it 'till I got the hang of it.
I've been doing bike, trike & family video & stills clips for a while.
Still finding new tricks.
Have FUN with it. That's the main thing, enjoy.
Cheers

I'm glad I've read this thread - now I know there is a Windows 7 program I can use. I would have just done it as a power point. Thanks chopit.

We were there twice (stayed once; first visit was just in the car on a recce trip) in winter. Great spot - will be back!
In S.E.Qld on the Gatton/Clifton Road.
About 35 Kms from Gatton.
( Stop in at Apex Park,Gatton. Great food & coffee
and a Transport museum,well worth it. )
There are drop toilets but no water.
Large shady area with many fireplaces & a few picnic tables.
Set along a small, flowing creek in a steep sided gorge.
Far from the road so traffic noise is not really an issue.
Could not find any sign to state rules or restrictions.
Yep ! Thumbs up for Heifer Creek .
Damn good , quiet camp area .
from our weekend at Heifer Creek.
Hope you like it.
