The button you keep pushing to light the Dometic fridge wont work today - had it going yesterday. No reisistance = no strike. Any one know how major it is to fix - can I buy one and get a handyman (brother) to replace it or will it take an 'authorised' repairman to sort?
Will be in Perth (Yanchep) in a couple of days so any suggestions as to where/how to get it sorted would be great. So much for my few more days camping
Well looks like you don't have the problem anymore, but here is a dometic place in the Perth northern suburbs and elsewhere in Oz etc,
Any further problems it would be worth ringing the nearest one to you for advice etc.
PS: And I thought I was the only "Duh" on this forum

I'd first try and inspect the workings....also note the model number. See this link as it has pictures and prices - there should be a manual on your fridge on the web somewhere :
Have solved the problem - a senior grey moment. you would think that after 15 months I would know which button to hold and which to use to stike - all good and going now! DUH - dumb woman!!!!

I must admit after I wrote 'Duh' I remembered you Duh - but it is a word that says SO much especially when one has ahd such a senile senior moment - and I was so looking forward to camping tonight.
