To clarify.. Take the Split yard Creek Rd. Follow it past the Mt. Glorious turnoff on your right. Going along Split yard Ck.Rd the camp is on the left in a valley. On the way there you will pass several parts of Wivenhoe Dam ( Lake ? ) If you follow the road to the end you can turn right to head to Sommerset Dam & on to Kilcoy. or left to Esk & Wivenhoe Dam. Talking to the ranger, pets OK. Nothing on Wivenhoe is pet friendly.
On the Split yard creek road.
From Ipswich go through Fernvale,a few Ks on look for
the Mt Glorious ( Split yard Creek ) turnoff to right.
Pass the Mt Glorious turnoff. A few more Ks on left.
Council free camp. 20 Hrs maximum stay.
Only a small area.
Small shelter & wood BBQs.
Bring everything you will need.
Very pretty spot with a deep swimming hole.
