Just returned from out trip from a week at Rainbow Beach & a week at Dickabram Bridge. We really enjoyed our selves at both locations although a bit cold at the bridge with 3 degrees one morning. When shifting from Rainbow to Dickabram it was pouring rain while we packed up & still pouring when we set up,not much fun but we managed, but wet & cold.It was our longest test at staying at free camping & we can last about 6 days without needing water.I took over a thousand photos for the two weeks & i have put up 2, one of our camp at the bridge & another of a footprint at Rainbow Beach which seems to be a optical illusion to me.It seems to be inverted but you have to go a bit cross eyed to focus it in.I will put up a few more photos later but i wanted to put this one up because of the illusion.
Thanks for the photos yendorane... looking very very good! Love your "raised" footprint!

And isn't Rainbow Beach a great spot ? we were there at Christmas. Funny thing, in the beach carpark at sunset a swag of campervans parked all about -- about the signs saying "No camping". Nice setup you have,by the way.

Here's a couple more photos of our recent trip to Rainbow Beach & Dickabream Bridge Sunset
Great photos, particularly the footprint. Quite artistic.
My sister lives at Tin Can Bay, so I'm up there fairly regularly. Love going for drives around the area.
I've also visited Dickabram Bridge, not to camp though. Amazing old bridge.

gotta love dickabram bridge its amazing we camped there with jc and crusin cruze and had a great time
it was such a lovely sound when cars came over the bridge almost sounded like a train
i loved every minute of it and what a great free site, no showers but toilets
and could hang your shower bag up in the toilets if you realy wanted to and have a shower that way
im sure some one did that from a van that was there at one stage.
rainbow beach too is a gorgeous spot, i like inskip point too.
