I am snug in my hut by the fire on a cold and windy day. We have a good fire going Matilda and I. She gets her exercise while I gather a wheelbarrow load of fire wood each morning. So pleased she has found no dead thing to roll in lately. The last two days have been very raw, plenty of wood tho so is OK and better than the heat of summer for sure.
Spinning and knitting socks while lamb shanks cooking in a pot over the fire.
Leaning towards a caravan and a ute at present time. my hip is getting painful with the climbing in and out of the camper
Have a good day

Julia likes knitting too, so the Women's Weekly reveals, but I don't think she's into lamb shanks. Probably not into camping either hehe.

It would have been a safe gelded kangaroo though, most unlike the complete roo that Gough had insisted upon in his day for the Oz coat of arms. The roo before Gough was odd in a number of ways as some might remember. Julia's on the other hand would be safe and not out of place camping it up on the grounds of Kirribilli House. Enough wool left over for a change purse.
But where oh where is Dame Edna? She would know the appropriate etiquette.

She sure has a very warm spot there. Thanks Dawa for sharing your lovely warm fire with me. It was very cold and windy outside.

Theres something about sitting by a fire. We have just lit the wood heater here for the first time this week, and I'd forgotten how friendly and comforting a real fire can be. Sounds like an excellent way to spend your winter Dawa.
