So cold here in Vic at the moment, frost 4 mornings in a row. Heater goes on in the morning for sure. Days are nice, got to 16deg in the front veranda, as you have seen John, where I spend most of my time painting my fish. Heard from Sue ( bucket&sue) they are catching lots of Redclaws. I have been to the Community vegie garden, enjoyed that. Still going to Art class. Keeping busy keeps me warm. Heading off to SA in August, looking forward to that.

Haven't noticed the cold here in Gin Gin but sympathise with you down south.
Heading further north tomorrow escaping the colder weather.

I'm cold just reading about that Patty. Nice up here in Townsville, well I think so anyway, the local natives use the word COLD.

Chilly mornings but pleasant days here on the Mid North Coast of NSW. Nice in the sun if there's no wind.

Cold enough in down town South West Vic for me to sleep in front of the fire last night. Still two more nights of frost to come, but I don't mind the lovely days that follow the frost. Aime.

Its all about becoming acclimatised. One winter away from Canberra and we hated the next winter after arriving back in mid-May to -8 degrees! We got soft in our time away.

Nice day in SE Qld yesterday so we took the chance to take some rellies over here from Wales to a day out at Currumbin Bird Sanctuary. A good day was had by all. Didn't enjoy the drive back from Surfers Paradise to Dayboro though as it was well dark by the time we got half way.

I agree Doug that it is very pleasant here in Townsville but as you say the locals think it is cold. I sit here in my shorts and t shirt and they are rugged up in jeans and long sleeve polo shirts. lol

Hi Halfpint. We'll have to get together some time and compare, although you might find my '74 a little primitive
