Another good free camp spot Carcoar Dam between Bathurst and Cowra. Toilets and Cold showers and drinking water from two rain tanks. Oh an good fishing yellow belly and redfin
We stayed here over night end of April - was a cold wind blowing but we were able to park below the hill which helped not forgetting it was the start of winter. Are you allow to fish in the dam???? - the dam level was low when we were there

Hey Bales Yes fishing is good they even have a boat ramp.

Update on Carcoar - the water is down to about 30% - but still enough for some speed boats and skiers, as well as some fishermen to come out and have a bit of fun, mostly on the weekends. We have been here about two weeks, and have had mixed weather, rain, wind, cold as well as a lot of lovely warm days. Plenty of trees, for shade with enough open area for your solar.

This is a great spot,really recommended it.
