Here's a couple of pics from the family album showing family/friends and the way camping was back in the 1920s. The first one shows friends of my parents camping with the bare basics. Not a motorhome in sight! The second shows my dad about to crack a few eggs into the pan. The pics were taken about 15 years before I was even a twinkle. So maybe this is where I get my wanderlust from.
Excellent photos Gary, I've got a lot of the same era and what strikes me about it is that there wasn't a whole lot of difference between living at home or camping in those days.

Very much the same today for a lot of travellers with the motorhomes & vans with everything that opens & shuts.

Fantastic pics Gary. How things have changed now with us taking our home with us as we travel. Not a lot could upset a holiday in those days, due to the fact that there was no gadgets or you beaut gear to brake down to spoil the trip. And I bet everyone had just as much fun.

Jimbo do you remember the Rosebud carnival?
We also camped there every year and when I was old enough I got a job at the carnival driving the miniature train and stuffing holiday makers onto the cup and saucer ride.
I pulled more chicks that way hehehee.
